150 CHF to change a bicycle tire? Mpark

Do you remember where in Basel?

It is at Veloplus, Leimenstrasse 78, 4051 Basel

it is a red vending machine stuck to the wall on the right hand side of the courtyard.

such a coincidence! I was just talking to my friend about this very vending machine at the weekend. They are good value, and the pump beside it is genius!

By the way, welcome to Switzerland , the velo country.

I do not know if it use due to the presence of wealthy bankers and illegitimate political leaders who have routinely looted their country, but minor repairs cost a fortune in Switzerland.

Ask your neighbour could be the right solution.

It's been a while since I've wheeled this out, but here we go...

In switzerland everything is expensive. But I think they have bicycle sales in Stauffacher several times a year.

It is pretty easy to do it yourself. I hate doing it, but it's a good skill to have ;-)

Btw, both Lidl and Aldi are selling bike tires at the moment (2 for about 6 CHF) - a very good deal. Just make sure you pick up a right size (26" or 28") and a right valve.

You mean inner tubes rather than tyres, I assume.

ahh, sorry. yes, inner tubes.

Blimey,....Switzerland is something else.... winter tyres on a bike!!!

Quite.

In Norway in Sweden they sell studded snow tires for bicycles (never have seen them here, though).

Tom

have just got a bike reparation kit from Lidl for 7.99 CHF.

it has everything you need.
