We are relocating to Genolier (assuming we get the house we are hoping to rent, or find another) and I would really like to find out more about the EPSGE secondary school.
I'm not worried about academic results etc, I really want to know about the school environment and culture
Is it a kind, inclusive atmosphere? We are coming from France where I have to say I have not bee 100% impressed with the school culture in public school. While the schools say the right things, and the teachers are, in my kids' school, pretty caring, on the ground the kids are (generalising) pretty agressive, mean, bullying. It's a much rougher atmosphere than I would tolerate if I were a head teacher and doesn't really fit with what the school claim they are working to create.
So I am keen to find out how the Genolier school is in this respect. Particularly with one child who will be entering in the final year, so will be subject to already-made friend groups and all the inter-personal challenges that face our teens.
I have heard that the school is very good, but some insider info would be invaluable.
