My online research indicates the process for us both to live and work in Switzerland (without requiring employer sponsored work visas) is:
]1. We start job search before we arrive in Zurich, for her final interviews we both visit Zurich, we can stay up to 90 days without a Visa. 2. One she (EU citizen) receives a job offer, we move to Zurich and I enter as a tourist. We find temporary accommodation and then apply for her B residence permit within 14 days showing work contract, accommodation, passport. Concurrently we apply for my “family reunification” B residence permit for me (non EU spouse) 3. These 2 permits take 4-6 weeks to process , she has started working during this time , I am unofficially job hunting during this time and tracking down proper long term accommodation 4. When my B residence permit arrives, I can officially job hunt and accept a jo b
My fundamental assumption is that my wife ( EU citizen )must get a job first to enable me ( non EU spouse ) to apply and get a permit to work.
