additional invoice from Fust after installation of cooker/oven

Good evening, wish to have your opinions if I have to pay the last invoice.

I went to a Fust shop and ordered an cooker+oven, I paid 77+99 CHF for the delivery and installation, written like below in my contract, the shop staff confirmed to me that there will not be any additional cost

15000502 Fdr 2 EL diff.

77 CHF.–

Forfait de livraison EL 1 homme 99.CHF–

4 weeks later, a work came and spent about 30 minutes connected the cooker to electricity, he had to adjust the wires connecting a plug. He asked my signature after the work, I saw there was a 27 CHF fee, 20 CHF for the mandatory verification of securisty and 7 CHF for the plug. I told him that the shop told me it should be included in the "installation" fee I paid, he said that he just need my signature to prove he has done the work, maybe I will NOT receive an invoice if I paid in advance at the shop. so I signed.

And then the invoice of 27 CHF arrives. just to be sure, I have read my contract, and there is " • Possibilité de frais supplémentaires pour un contrôle OIBT. Facturation à part. " on page 1

but on page 2 which elaborates what I have paid for, there is

"Forfait de montage: Les marchandises sont livrées à l’étage, au sous-sol ou à l’appartement souhaité. Le déballage, le montage, l’installation dans

l’infrastructure disponible et conforme aux prescriptions légales ainsi que la mise en service de l’appareil et l’élimination du matériel

d’emballage et de l’appareil usagé sont compris dans le forfait de livraison et de montage. Fust peut facturer le transport de retour pour

l’élimination des appareils usagés."

So do you think I have to pay this fee? maybe you think it's a small amount for you but this year I have every company/public service trying to charge me 50 CHF more on several invoices so I want to clarify this.

Thanks!

Pay it or you'll soon be threatened with legal action. I strongly recommend you never do business with Fust. I have had an horrendous and expensive dispute with them this year.

I’m guessing that’s the charge for installation if your electrics are matching and ready to go. If you need some modifications that would be extra - or in theory someone could order an oven to a room with no electrics and expect the electrician to install a power supply to the room, for 99 francs

I would send them an email to query the charge.

Then if they confirm that it must be paid, pay it.

No harm in asking, but I wouldn't fight over such a small fee...

I would say you've already paid for "connection" .

Don't simply ask "do I have to pay for this?" that's ridiculous. Make arguments as you why you shouldn't have to.

Yes send them an email saying you consider this to be part of the installation fee and to pls explain themselves as to why they have charged you extra. See where it goes.

If Fust answers, I'll be surprised, I sent them registered letters and never got an answer.

Speak to Fust and in future never sign anything you are not sure about.

CHF 77.- for a new cooker+oven? Please send a link.

CHF 27.- for adaptions to the electrical system ?

Both sound remarkably cheap-

I suspect the cooker/oven came with a German style Schuko plug and the guy just slipped an adaptor onto it.

Avoid Fust like the plague. Nothing but problems.

Must be your branches of Fust is all I can say, never had any problems with mine.

i've used fust many times. the installers are contracted out, but sometimes, they may need extra parts/materials for installations which then costs extra. straight-forward installations without need of additional materials don't have extra fees.

Me neither.

Just because you have never had a problem at your branch obviously does not mean that similar problems have never happened at your branch. Sigh.

As a shop they are OK. But if you hire them to do anything, caveat emptor. As mentioned they contract out installation and other work. In our case they found some French company in Dijon (140kms). Always late, often left early (at noon on Fridays) and certainly not qualified to Swiss standards. Or even French standards either.

Perhaps on the other side of the ditch they have there own workers, but in Romande you can expect problems. And they don’t give a sh*t. We only got them to fix problems by threatening not to pay.

So, it clearly states that the OIBT control is extra!

Tom

I wasn't aware the instalateur could do an official OBIT control, i was always told it had tro be done by a third party official specialist company with the OBIT qualifications.

Maybe ask Fust for the official OBIT control paper before paying it ?

Likewise for people who have had problems.

Just because they had issues doesn’t mean they are always bad.

People usually only usually post about their negative experiences, rarely about the positive ones.

Indeed. It just shows that, in general, you can't generalise !

I, incidentally, have had very good experience with Fust for a kitchen renovation. It was, however, very expensive so a good result was not totally unexpected.

Now apply the same logic to your own statement!

I have used them a few times without any issues. I have been here 30+ years and can’t recall anyone complaining about them.
