Affordable German Language Courses in Basel

I arrived to Basel ten years ago with basic German knowledge and two years ago I passed the Superior Level (Oberstufenprüfung/Goethe).

How I did this?

I was for half a year by Inlingua, two hours a week. Excellent quality if you can invest the money they ask for. (Actually low quality schooling is not worth starting at all, because you will soon loose your motivation.)

Then I've found a German teacher, who lives in South France and gives private hours over Internet. She is called Rose and I can give her email address, if you write me privately.

Besides I follow the methods of Benny, I keep an adamant positive attitude and I use my foreign language as soon as possible :

I think it is of utmost importance to speak the local language, wherever you live, so feel free to ask any questions.

Hi,

I did an intenisive course (8 weeks, 4 lessons a day) at inlingua last year.

It was really good. Excellent method and very nice people (students and teacher).

I can definitely recommend a teacher - one of the most affordable in Basel! [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])

I know a lot of people who recommend IOR in Lorrach for their high quality. It is in Germany, but you can get there in 10 minutes from Bad Bhf, and it is very affordable.

what about considering to take German Course in Lörrach instead? I know it will cost more for transportation. Yet, I just roam around looking for DeutschKurs today. I found one course 4 times a week cost for only 350 eur per month but its already on going. The location is few hundred meters from the central station, soo it wont hurt to walk a bit and right on the city center. Let me know if you want me to forward you the institution or if you like me to throw you more courses as im still looking for better place (schedule and price wise) N

Hi guys,

I recently relocated to Basel with my family and we are looking for German classes as well.

I did take a look at the schools/courses mentioned in this thread. However, I did not see any recent comments. Could anyone mention their recent experience with German classes? In special about intensive courses.

Many thx!

I am currently taking intensive courses with [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) . She is excellent! Affordable...and tailors the classes to my needs!

Thx benchj! I will check her.
