I am curious what will you say/do when someone like you rolls you over by bike (since no Vignette anymore ) or ski, or by foot, badly hurts you or a family member? It will get quickly VERY expensive for you and unless the other person has a lot of liquidity, you are LOOKING AT A LONG LEGAL BATTLE. In comparison if the other party had liability insurance, the insurance would pay all your costs / compensation.
Good question, I don't know what I would do.
Post in the complaints corner and write how ridiculous the system is, and that it is different in the UK, and "how could I know"...
Interesting to see that post of mine from 1.5 years ago. My flat was broken in to earlier this year and, indeed, the cost of the door (approx. 2000 CHF, including the repairs to the frame and repainting) was claimed by the landlord from my insurance. Which paid out without question, along with covering everything I had stolen. Including (a small amount of) cash.
Robber!
Took me a few seconds to work that out. If I had not have had had where you would have had had had it would have been ok.
Hadn't you had had and you had had had had, then yes.
Alternatively, you could have just told me to bugger off.
