I have the same propblem repeating multiple times. I had contacted their customer service, they could not resolve, told me to get back and never did.
So as you may know amazon uk typicla postage fee is 15 pounds (14.99). I add only items delivered trough the same method. I usually have quite of items, maybe 10+ or even more. When I go to the final page to pay the postage is indicated still as 15 pounds but in the total price calculation it is the double, i.e. 29.98.
This same scenario happens to me over and over again, pretty much whenever I'd like to order something from Amazon UK.
Anyone had the same issue with a suggestion on how to resolve it?
Never had any issues like that.
However, I also would never expect the postage fee for 1 item to be the same as the postage fee for 10 items. Also my postage fees with Amazon have always completely varied, they are never always £15.
Maybe they are adding on ( since the UK left the EU ) non EU Custom charges, so you will not have to pay it yourself before the
post office or other delivery company release your parcel.
Please provide a screenshot showing exactly what you are talking about, because your description is too vague to be useful and there are various reasons that additional postage fees can apply such as bulky goods and ordering from a a mix of Amazon and non-Amazon sellers. This. Buying from Amazon doesn't mean you're buying from a singular source, and each seller / marketplace owner will add on their own shipping.
Since you specifically say you make sure to order the items all from the same place (I assume Amazon directly) then I suspect it is the number if items that is the issue.
The delivery fee isn’t a fixed fee per order so once the order exceeds a certain number of items or weight the delivery fee increases.
I get the same from Amazon.de, only pick items which are sold directly from Amazon not 3rd party. You avoid the extra fees.
Items are sold directly from Amazon UK.
On the left side next to items it writes 15 pounds and on the right side 30 and the customer service has no explanation.
I do similar and more often purchases from Amazon.de and never had a similar issue...
For both if there are additional costs items show in a couple of different rectangles with corresponding price each. And the right side price break-down postage fee is never higher than the sum of the fees on the left with amazon.de. As the problem with the UK version appeared a number of times wanted to see if anybody else experienced it...
