Another Foreign Doctor seeking a job in Switzerland.

hello,

I am a Lebanese doctor currently living in Rheinfelden, CH.

I studied Anesthesiology in Lebanon then did a fellowship in Regional Anaesthesia in Montreal Canada.

I have a work permit B.

I speak French fluently and am currently finishing my German B2 level (expected to start C1 medical German in January).

I know all about the MEBEKO rules for non-Eu medical diplomas regarding to work 3 years in a public hospital at a 100% rate.

M question: under what title would a hospital hire me? and how can I find a job for that matter?

PS: I have colleagues with the same condition working as a Chef de Clinique in Geneva and Lausanne, but I do not know if this is usual in the German part of Switzerland.

If you speak fluent French and have good contacts with people at HUG and CHUV - I'd definitely say you stand a better chance here in Romandie.

Many regions are just desperate for GPs.
