However it isnt going well.
When I try to view a channel (any channel) I dont get any picture or sound.
Radio Channels play fine but TV channels are not displaying - just a blank screen.
I've been around the forums a few times but cant seem to fine an answer.
Some hinted at replacing the DVI/HDMI cable, which I did but it didnt make any difference. The TV has a DVI slot.
I also tried it with a scart lead and still no change.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

If you don't have the encryption keys and card emulator installed, then you will not see any pictures.
Getting there....have full picture and sound on a few channels, only about 5.
The others are coming through but the picture is really bad.
The reason for the bad picture was the cable. Replaced it with another cable and getting a perfect picture on all channels now.
Now I agree, it is a fabulous piece of kit.
Just upgraded my firmware to Gemini 4.5 and it seems to have sorted my connection "hiccups" I was having where I kept geting skips and glitches while watching. Upgrading the firmware of course wiped the thing and then I had to furiously remember how to do the keys. However, with a bit of help from a friend I got hold of the right keys and am now back in wonderland. This scan picked up a few more channels too, including one or two HD!
I am now a lot more comfortable doing the procedure and will post a REALLY easy way to update the firmware, soon. Also found a stupidly easy way to manage the box files via a small FTP program, so puttign the keys on is simplicity in itself.
Please note I will not answer PM questions about this box , I am not providing 'support here', but will give help via the forum when I can in the form of the odd mini-guide or tip. Watch this space, first one coming soon.
EDIT - I will also not provide you with any keys or links to keys due to legal issues and to protect EF from any comeback. You will need to locate those yourself, but fear not, it's not too difficult.
updating the firmware - isn't that simply holding down the power key when it boots and using the pre-boot UI to upload your image?
And Firefox has things like FireFTP which makes managing files on the DM reeeeeeeeeeeeeally easy

I assume you're using scam as your emulator.
/usr/scam/config - edit this file and add this then boot the box:
/debug/cw_delay=100
I wasnt using scam but switched to it and it seems to have done the trick.

Anybody tried to use Naxoo card with Dreambox 800HD decoder ? I've tried, but no picture.... Scanned the channels and found all of those, but no picture there... Even no picture of free channels..
Any advice there ?

If you register here with the sole intention of getting Dreambox-related info then you will sadly be dissappointed. If you want general Dreambox info go and register on a specific Dreambox forum where the expert communities there can help you.
