PC only. Consoles don’t appeal at all and neither do the games.
What kinda of game-genres do you like most?
What games are you currently playing?
Older city builder games when I first started playing, but now I’m hooked on Titan Quest Immortal Throne. I’ve been playing it almost exclusively for years. Occasionally go back to my first RPG Two Worlds and I’m currently also playing TQIT’s spiritual successor Grim Dawn which is at the alpha stage and looking/playing fantastically. When I get tired of bashing things I’ll go back to Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Zeus: Master of Olympus or Children of the Nile for some quiet city building.
Are you playing with a swiss account? Then the invite-a-friend doesn't work...
- What platform(s) do you use?
Ps3, and 3DS for my son. My husband got a Vita for Christmas so he's trying that out, with all the free games he picked up on PS+. And PC of course.
- What kinda of game-genres do you like most?
Action adventure, RPGs, MMOs
- What game-genres can you absolutely not stand?
1st person shooter (I give Borderlands a pass because it really is awesome, but CoD, Halo, I'd rather watch TV)
- What games are you currently playing?
Always on WoW, found a bunch of good suisse romande people to play with, we have about 10 people that play together. And Diablo 3 on ps3. Should have picked it up on PC, but it is a lot easier to buy 1 copy for ps3, than 2 for PC for me and my husband.
I'm mostly gaming on the iPad these days, but the Mac comes in useful when there's a rare appearence of a premium game.
I tend to favor RTS and TBS games, but also enjoy FPS (the Borderlands games especially) and combat F-Sims.
I don't care for games that puts you in the role of a character, but then only give you a 3rd person view - Batman Arkham Asylum/City are execptions as they are awesome.
Currently playing on iOS Online: Sky Gamblers - Storm Raiders and Battle Supremacy. iOS offline X-COM. On the Mac I'm mostly playing Ski Challenge 14.
Don't get much time to game these days, and I'm having to be careful with X-COM as as soon as I start playing it the day disappears with frightening speed.
PC it is for me. I love hunting bargains on steam that i dont have time to play for.
past few weeks i have been completely absorbed by Europa Universalis IV. world domination is addictive.
heartstone seems fun but i got bored quickly. probably ideal for playing on a mobile.
looking forward to elder scrolls online. morrowind is probably my all time favorite game, so im excited to return there after all those years. i played the closed beta for a weekend. not hugely impressed sadly. im afraid the mix between ES and MMO is maybe not gonna work out so great. they are sort of mutually exclusive... cant have the cake and eat it
back in the day it was unreal tournament for me. instagib ctf. i probably can still walk the more popular maps backwards while dodging and shooting players that want their flag back
best fps at the moment: red orchestra2/rising storm. it requires some brains and the community is quite mature.
also some peaks of minecraft craving here and there followed by the realization "wait, wtf am i actually doing??"
Played a lot of nintendo with my friend back in days since he is a console collector, and owns all the consoles nintendo ever made. Mario kart is indeed a great party game. - In fact we still use it as a drinking game once in a while.
Personally I'm a huge gamer myself. Unfortunately I only have time (and equipment) for nufflin' around in World of Warcraft when I need to relax my mind.
Hah! You should totally try it. Its great for disconnecting from the daily "stress" or thoughts in general. And they made it so easy now, so you can easily pop in and out as you find space in your schedule for playing.
That's not old school. When I did adventure games there was no point and no click. We did it all on the keyboard with just pure text, no graphics - that's old school
In all honesty I don't play any other type of games, but will play Syrim Online when it launches
I really tried to get into Marvel Heroes because David Brevik set up the development team...but just did not take to the game and was hugely disappointed.
- What games are you currently playing?
Diablo 3, and really enjoying hardcore mode on the PTR
I got into the Path of Exile early Beta and may go back to playing that for a while until Reaper of Souls launches
I may also reload Skyrim, as I was totally absorbed by the game when it launched
I'm not really one for horror games (since most of them are just senseless slaughter), but "The Cat Lady" here is SO well done, tells a great and incredibly gripping story! Really worth a check out - alone for it's very classic gameplay style and graphics!
I tried Eve once, but I just never had the time or patience to really get into it. I naively thought it would be a space-sim type game, and was disappointed when it turned out not to be so. I persevered for a few weeks, but not really my cup of tea.
I am thinking about getting Civilization V...........anyone got this, any good? The last time I played this type of game was probably Command and Conquer back in the 90's.
