Be aware that you generally need to physically be in Switzerland with a work permit in hand in order to get a flat. The general advice is to arrange short-term accommodation for the first few months after you arrive. (Air bnb, short-term furnished lodging, etc.)

We rent a flat to a tenant who does not live in Switzerland but just wants a place for when he spends his 2 x 90 days in Schengen and wants to feel "at home". I know a few other people who do this as well.
