However, you can buy natron (baking soda, sodium bicarbonate) in large quantities, e.g., a kilo or more here:
I think a kilo was about chf 6. It's food quality - can be used for baking, etc, but it's also really useful for cleaning purposes, etc. No baking powder, however.
These guys also have epsom salts (bittersalz), which I've not seen here before.
