Sada, he asked for opinions, and having lived in both Soho and on the Niederdorf as well as other cities/continents I believe I'm relatively well placed to give that opinion. I'm not "stopping him". He's just comes off as pretty naive.
If we could broaden the thread title to "Best City for Young People" the easy winner would be Sana'a in Yemen. The mean age of the population is apparently 26. This has little to do with the hip scene and trends, rather the chances of not making it to your forties due to violence, lousy health standards and a bunch of folk munching Qat leaves to keep themselves high. Nice.
You can start a company. Maybe not in the trades, but definitely in other walks of life.
Given the OP is paying ~50% tax, it seems likely he's a relatively high earner, as that puts him firmly in the 40% tax bracket. Maybe even in the 50%. So I doubt he's a plasterer. Though possibly a plumber...
Once again, there's not really enough information forthcoming to give proper advice.
but 8001 is the least place to live in ZH (for me, opinion n stuff ) though is zurich first n best choice. i like basel, as its a bit less posh, more low key, but i like zurich best.
Women? When I was 22, I did not really care what language they spoke...
That's just mean - be less sarcastic and a bit helpful to the OP.
Talking about helpful: As long as we don't know what type of business the OP runs, it is hard to tell - but nightlife in Switzerland is really nowhere near other countries. If I had a company that earns me a decent income and be worried about the UK taxes... I'd probably choose a carribean island instead.
I'm sorry, somebody voted for St Gallen....is there a serious underground scene that we've not been told about? Saying that, is there a secret underground city that we haven't been told about
