Does anybody know of other well-priced shipping service from Switzerland to Sweden that could accommodate less than 1.5 cubic meters of boxes/things?
I have recently moved up to Sweden, but there were a number of boxes and some other things that I was unable to bring up with me because of logistics. I want to try and ship the stuff over to me, but the moving services I have so far found seem to be more specialized in moving entire households/apartments. I don't have that much stuff, so their prices are way too high. But sending the boxes by regular post will also not be practical either. A colleague of mine told me about a service called beiladung, where you can ship your goods in a commercial truck that has some available space and is going towards your destination. I have so far looked into services such as clicktrans and shipley, but have had no offers yet.
How about DHL/UPS etc?
Not sure if they are the best option, as DHL/UPS are focused in sending mailing letters and shipping small packages. I checked DHL for a quote, and to move even one moving box that weighed 10 kg would cost over 500 CHF, which would make the entire shipment cost well over 2000 CHF (I would estimate). At such a cost, I might as well rent a van and drive up myself.
Like I said before, I am in a weird spot in that I have too much stuff to be shipped over for simple post, but not enough stuff that would necessitate an entire truck (like those used to move whole houses/apartments).
Check with Pelichet, they offer consolidated shipping (no personal experience).
Cool, I will ask them for a quote.
