Betreibungsamt without work permit

Hi,

Do anyone know, can I get document from debt collection office that I don't have any debt without my work visa ?

I already submitted A1 form in the migration office, but it will take some time till I will get the document.

I need the document from debt collection office to apply for flat rental.

Some update in case anyone will look for that info.

You can get the document in the office showing your passport/ID but you have to be already registered in the commune. Without that they don't have your name in the system.

My landlord skipped that part as he knew I'd only just arrived but I suppose in theory I could have lived in Switzerland before.

Did they still give you something in any case? Otherwise anyone could claim they're new?
