I just discovered that my son's bike was stolen. It was chained to the front rack. I see the insurance also covers theft from outside the house.
You have to report it to the police. In some cantons/municipalities it can be done online.
Tomorrow will be fine. After you've reported it to the police, call thte insurance. You can probably do report it online as well. Bicycle theft is quite common.
Depends on the price of the bike. Remeber, you have the "Selbstbehalt". So if the bike was cheap, it may not be worth the hassle.

The bike was a CUBE 240 with hydraulic disc brakes. It's around 600CHF ( so not sure if is cheap or not for the insurance). The problem is that you can't find these bikes in stock anymore. That's probably why it was stolen. Next to it, 2 more adult bikes were chained and the next door neighbors have the bikes just leaning on the rack, not tied.

Typically you would have a 200 or 500 self pay - the insurance company can tell you or you can check your contract.

If you go to https://www.cube.eu/dealer-search/ you can look for dealers. There may be a bike in stock somewhere, could be worth phoning around (or checking online, if they have well maintained websites).
