blueground property rental

I’m seeing a lot of ads for https://www.theblueground.com/ seems like a good idea to rent out my apartment (but probably some downsides) and was wondering if anyone had any experience.

I've never heard of them, but seems like a good idea. Also the rents seem to be reasonable. From a landlords perspective it also seems very interesting, guaranteed rental income etc. though I'm not sure who pays for the furniture and so on.

As to downsides, I'd imagine you only get a part of the rent as they must make their margin. Other than that I can't see any downsides, but there probably are.

For what it's worth, the CEO and his brother are good friends of my niece and they're legitimately nice smart people who are working really hard to bring this startup to life.

Take care,

Katerina

Interesting, they exclude the difficult property markets where people would likely pay premium to get something decent. Geneva, Lausanne and everything in between is not a blueground city. So not so interesting for me when other blueground cities I travel to have easily available places on booking.com, Airbnb, etc...

I heard about them from friends in other cities. It's a pretty good deal, they pay market rent and take care of the property end to end. They are also long term tenants, so you can forget about the apartment and just get the money
