There is so much left to do - exhibition in Beyeler Foundation; Tingerley Museum, going skiing on weekends; inline-skating. Swimming in the hot spa pools in Schwartzwald.
And then there are stand-up comedy nights; theaters; concerts. Fantastic restaurants in Alsace. Colmar, Riquerwihr, etc - wine route of Alsace; Castles in Germany and France.

going to St.Louis on Saturday's farmer market
going out with expats...
brunches...
...and I have only one weekend per week...

Thank you so much for taking the time to post this and it is really great news you seem to be settling in so well after a comparatively short amount of time :-). I agree totally about your point of life is what you make it and I really do plan to be proactive and meet as many new people as possible, including all you lovely people on here!

its reassuring to hear that Basel is thriving and full of life, and lots of things to do!
I have also made the plunge and will begin my new Job in the beginning of January, looking forward to get to know Basel up close and personal.
