Bringing non EU girlfriend to switzerland

I'm hoping that someone can give me some guidance. I am from the UK and plan to move to Switzerland to be with my swiss boyfriend in Zurich. I've seen that I can apply for an L or B permit but I don't have a uni degree. I have had his family friends offer me a job in a cafe and in a hair salon but I'm worried that If i would want to change jobs when I'm there then the visa may not allow this? Does anyone know how easy it would be to get a unmarried relationship visa or something similar to this? I would be moving into his family home and my partner could prove that he could financially support me. Any guidance or info would be greatly appreciated as I'm losing hope in being able to be with him in Switzerland. (The UK is no longer in the EU so I am considered a third country)

There’s quite a bit of helpful information in this “Permits/visas/government” section of the forum so have a trawl through and see if anything fits.

Basically you will likely run into problems getting a permit to live, never mind work here as non-EU. An employer has to prove they can’t find a Swiss or EU person to do the job they have advertised and café / hair salon work just isn’t specialised enough for this condition.

Do you plan to marry your boyfriend ?

Also, for 'job' do they plan to pay you a proper living salary ?

Without 'real' qualifications, language skills and experience.....it will be extremely difficult to get a start in Switzerland....

Understand that a concubine permit requires your partner to be financially responsible for you for 5 years, even if you break up but still stay here.

However, staying here as a non-EU would be very difficult since any Swiss employer would have to prove they can’t find a Swiss/EU national who could do the job. Frankly it doesn’t sound as if you have the skills that would allow any employer to get a permit for you if you break up with your bf.
