I've found a source ( https://cakelicious.ch/en/chocolate-...522513196.html ) for 1Kg bags of Callebaut callets, which is actually pretty close to what I wanted, and the price is not too outrageous, but I feel like I must be missing something. Surely there are other good sources for this sort of thing in Switzerland? I'd like to try using some of the local chocolates if I could get them in bulk quantities.
In the U.S., I used to be able to buy 5Kg bars or bags of 55% chocolate pretty easily. My favorite was actually Belgian (Callebaut), but several West Coast brands like Guittard and Scharfenberger were also always great choices.
in migros and coop you can buy chocolate in bars at retail prices that is still cheap.
I am buying it in Aligro , they have chips and blocks, in bags of 1.5kg, both from Carma. Aligro is wholesaler, but anyone can apply for their card, you can do it online.
Sadly (I guess on purpose) you cannot see what they sell online, but you can check the Carme couvertures on this link .
Black Zabuye is my favourite, but pretty bitter, for a more classic taste I am using Dark Bourbon but you can also go fancy with Ruby Rubina .
Top CC also has bulk chocolate....I forget the brand, haven’t been in a while.
Felchin (Felchin.com) is supposed to be really quite good ....they have an online shop. Looks to be about 40 francs (give or take ) for 2kg.

In Canada we used to get blocks of excellent French couverture from a commercial supplier but unfortunately we lost the details.
We have a local chocolate factory, Aeschbach and we get chocolate chips for cooking from there. Link

Thank you for all the great suggestions! I've been meaning to get to Aligro at some point anyway, but I've hesitated because I know I'll be tempted to buy more than I can carry, and we neither have nor want a car. Sounds like it's definitely worth it, though.
