Bulk shipping to Mexico

So, short story long.... I need to clear my bookshelves and would like to send my books/comics/boardgames to mexico.

Anyone has any ideas of the easiest/cheapest way to send it back?

Given that the border might be reopened soon, Delivery to San Diego is also an option.

Thanks

There are 2 factors at play: type of goods for customs purposes and raw weight for shipping purposes.

If I remember well, the import tariff for printed material (books, comics) is 0%. No idea about board games. If the import tariff for board games is also 0%, DHL may be an option.

But.....customs can be a PITA. Once my wife sent a couple printed photos and a chocolate box and the import tariff for chocolate product above certain sugar content was about 100%. The package ended up back in Switzerland. If customs are involved, I used to contract for my job a freight forwarding company to send a box with 35 kg of scientific material. They handled all the customs procedures and never had a problem except waiting 2-3 weeks max in spite that what I sent looked like a home made bomb or raw materials to make a bomb About 900 CHF one-way. It used to be named Panalpina, now https://www.dsv.com

Compare the 35kg for 900 CHF to plane ticket + two extra 23 kg baggage in the plane for ~100 CHF each and flying plus vacations are not that crazy. If the total weight is larger, freight forwarding starts makes sense.

I guess , I will limit my shipment to books/comics.

My price consideration was shipping vs buying again in mexico.

my next trip would be in March so I will do the 20 Kg bag full of books. last time i flew there was no customs check in CDMX nor Tij. so it seems like a good option

post it on uship.
