Buying and installing a standalone dishwasher

I have a small kitchen without any dishwasher. I’m thinking about buying a standalone/freestanding dishwasher like this one https://www.galaxus.ch/en/s2/product…ashers-4236548

Normal dishwasher which is around 80cm in height would not fit in my kitchen.

I have asked the agency whether installing a dishwasher is allowed and they told me that it was allowed but I needed to hire a professional for installation. Moreover, if I move out, I need to remove the dishwasher.

So in that case, I’m going to buy a standalone dishwasher so that I can move it if I move out of the apartment.

The question I’m wondering is whether I should buy the dishwasher first and then ask a plumber to install it? Or should I ask a plumber first? What would be the rate?

I suppose you want to see if the installation cost would put you off buying one.

I don't know the costs but if you have water pipes available (under the sink or sticking out of the wall) you'd need a connector (geraeteanschluss) to be put on and a new drain (ablauf) if yours doesn't have a hose connector on it. These cost but should be less than an hour to fit. I wouldn't be surprised though if the plumber charges driving time and other extras. Check you don't already have the plumbing somewhere. I had already the plumbing in the bathroom for a washing machine.
