Buying car parts in CH

Hi All

Where can I buy car parts like brake pads & disks (rotors for our American friends), starter motors etc..? Every site I find usually point me to somewhere outside CH so shipping is outrageously high!

Many thanks

A few options:

1. Online in CH (or from amazon.de if they will deliver)

2. Offline in CH (there are 2 parts shops that I've seen, 1. behind Aligro in Bruttisellen and one in Volketswil - prices are unknown)

3. Order online in DE to 'lieferadresse' and pickup over the border yourself.

Be aware not to go over the import limits including shipping/handling.

I bought a set of rotors/pads for €47,20 with Postage & Packing of €23,99 and got dinged with another 20CHF by DHL.

I just ordered 2x dics + pads... delivery to a postbox in Germany. Total cost was less than a third of what I found in CH...

I’m starting to get the impression that these are only available to trade as they seem to be able to get parts easily and quickly.

Amazon it is then I guess. This is where I ordered the last lot from.

Here’s another example:
P21w silvered bulbs (philips) :

Amazon.de = EUR 11.45 delivered to my mailbox (+1eur for the mailbox fees)
Jumbo = CHF 44.95 + delivery

URLS:

Everyone I know does exactly that.

not bad - but not the cheapest and posting is quite a lot for CH internal, if that's what is really it.

thanks though

Where do you get these Postboxes and how much are they?

Very often 20, 25 or even 30% discount codes come up when you sign up

Here are a few listed:

I use Swiss Paket - but there's a TON of companies. Find your nearest border town, go for a day trip... and you'll see no less than 5 companies that do this.

Mine charges per package - with no monthly subscription. During COVID they even offered to hold packages indefinitely for free or DHL them over, which was nice.

I have used Rhiag in Baar/Zug. They have a trade counter you can walk in to, and do tyres as well.

Great! They are only down the road from me also!

Has anyone managed to arrange an Ausfuhrschein from a German car parts supplier when delivering to a SwissPacket style postbox service in Germany?

This would mean you could get a stamp at the border when bringing the parts in for purchases of up to 300chf (per person).

As well as getting the parts for a small % of the Swiss prices you could also claim back VAT.

So, I think I bought from these guys : https://www.pkwteile.ch/ → German Company and I think they are in the same boat as autodoc.ch , but … as someone said earlier, if you just put a random email there, you will start receiving some vouchers for FREE Shipping on your first order(wait a couple of hours), if the total value is over 50 Chf.
I remember buying 2 parts, really cheap and free shipping
