A little OTT, no?
Here we are in the firstest first world country (so they claim) and yet washing machines are rationed like post war GDR.
I have lived in many apt. complex (in those 3rd world parts of the planet called "not here"), and communal washing machines never required a draconian scheduling system to get along (secret: there was usually more than one pair available). Maybe the greedy landlords who oppress the renting man are the real evil here.
And honestly, I think @ wife of a Swiss just gets creeped out by germs. My OCD can relate.
No, we are in the firstest
THIRD world country.
Tom
That'll explain the open sewers, non-existent public transport, strong black market, rife corruption, extreme poverty, poor education levels and limited access to healthcare
From the same source:
"Over the last few decades since the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War, the term Third World has been used interchangeably with the least developed countries , the Global South, and developing countries to describe poorer countries that have struggled to attain steady economic development, a term that often includes "Second World" countries like Laos."
Pedantically correct - you.
3 points to Gryffindor!
Oh horrors! Cashmere is not hypoallergenic. Your poor dog!
But washing machines are not rationed, you can buy them anywhere at a bewildering array of price differences.
You can plum them in the bathroom/kitchen without too much problem.
Some people can't as the appartement is too small, well tough, you can't always have you cake and eat it, beggars can't be chosers etc
