I regularly drive Zurich to London every few weeks. Does anyone need a lift ? I usually go for a long weekend or 1 week. Then drive back to Zurich.
If you can drive a car and help out with some of the driving that would be great. Its a long drive, about 8 hours to Calais then 2 hours to London.
I live nearby to Wimbledon. Message me if you need a lift and or can help with the driving. I can drop you in Surrey, South London or anywhere nearby to the M20 route from Folkstone to the M25. I usually use the Euro tunnel. I pass by Basel, so anyone from Zurich to Basel can be picked up.
I had a look at blabla, at the moment I cant find any one traveling CH to UK, so I thought mention it here in the forum. Its a very long boring drive, would be nice to have some one to talk to or share the driving.
My next trip is middle March, im flexible on the exact dates.
My next planned trip is mid March, not sure on dates yet for spring and summer, but I usually go back for my sisters birthday bashes late May and late August, also November for another family birthday bash.
I have a very comfortable BMW xdrive automatic touring/estate. Great that you can help with some driving, much appreciated thanks. I usually stop in Luxembourg for fuel and lunch. Also to pick up some dirt cheap booze at a wholesale warehouse I discovered before covid. I have never smoked but a pack of 20 only cost €3 in this warehouse.
Where about's are you ? I live in Zurich. You could join me late summer or November.
I'm driving up (Zurich to London) on March 5 or 6, and then back 2 weeks later... but I need to drive my car as need the space on the return trip (emptying a house for rental).
That said, I do have a pair of PMR radios, and if you're doing the same trip on the same date(s) it could be a fun diversion to break the monotony of highway...
