I decided to leave my job and will take some time out before looking for another. I dont want or plan to apply for RAV as I will not be seeking jobs but that time will likely come in a few months.
Am I ok not to register with RAV immediately while I take this break?
I understand there will be a penalty and minimised payment if I seek at this later time but thats ok, just need to understand a little bit any current needed actions (finish Oct 31).

It's not just the penalties, it will also impact the calculation of the benefits.
The longer you wait, the less you will get, as months not worked add nothing to your pot, so if you wait sic months, for example, your average monthly salary would be halfed.

IIRC you can delay drawing payments under an already opened Rahmenfrist for up to two years. In other words open now, suspend for some time, benefit thereafter. Enquire, I may be wrong, and please report back if this is correct or not.
Thanks both, thats understood as I note minimised payment on top of penalty. Understanding also the longer time taken off the more minimised.
In relation to my question then I understand have no immediate action to take regarding this and shall apply in due course when I commence job seeking.
