I’m looking for ideas how this can be used. Can it be converted to fabric? Used to stuff pillows? Duvets?
I can assure the EF audience that no cat was harmed during this process, the cats love it.

I regularly groom our two Birman cats and this time of the year I’m getting at least a handful of fluff out of each of them.
Stick it on top of your head if you are going bald?
Didn't someone recently say they leave it out for the birds during nesting season so the birds can use it to make luxuriously comfortable and warm nests?

You can put it in the engine compartment of your car to deter Martens.
You can also do all sorts of crafty stuff with it including knitting but I’ve never tried it.
Canine rather than feline, but a similar quandary:
For more than three decades I have lived with the world's most prolific shedding machines - rough collies and shelties. After the daily brushing session there seems to be more fluff on the floor than on the dog... and then we do it all again tomorrow. Sisyphus ain't got nuthin' on me.
As the fur tumbleweeds blow by, I too have occasionally wondered if there might be some use for it.
Years ago I knew a woman who spun, wove, and knit fibers of all sorts. She offered to turn the Muttley Crew leftovers into yarn, however she warned me that dog fur does not have much elasticity. At least not what one would expect in a knitting yarn.
And she was right. The scarf was rough, scratchy, and not very pliant. And honestly a bit creepy - it felt rather Cruella de Ville-ish, despite no collies or shelties being harmed in the process.
(Although half the crew would disagree with the harm bit. My haystacks on legs firmly believe grooming a violation of their inalien rights to be as mucky as possible, all the time.)
So I gave up that idea.
Then I read about birds using soft fluffy fur to line their nests. With visions grateful hatchlings happily chirping, I left bits of fur strewn about the garden for my flying friends to use.
No interest. None at all.
And as no good deed goes unpunished, after a rain the fur melded itself into the bushes, leaving an unsightly mess for the rest of the season. My garden looked like a haunted house.
And the local moggies, mice, marders and other uninvited guests clearly did not get the memo that dog fur strewn about the garden serves as a deterrent; nightly marauding continued apace.
As for pillow stuffing - still a bit too Cruella for me. And there is the whole mucky pup thing, I imagine you'd need a rigorous cleaning process. But then, cats are cleaner than dogs...
So what to do with the ever growing fur mountain? I'm afraid I have not found an eco-friendly solution.
But if anyone has, I'm off to relieve Bad Hair Day Heffalump of a kilo or two of the stuff...
