Cat started peeing

This measure is already in place

How about peeing on the cats..just to let them know how it feels....

Lollipop has been known to pee on beds and bean bags if a) we have visitors or b) we have been away for any length of time. I'm convinced it's simply a protest vote. She has access to a littler tray and is let out as much as possible (if she wants to or not).

You can do it without a male counterpart nowadays, you know. Feminie power!

Well vinegar isnt exacly a pleasant smell to have whiffing all over the house is it.

referring to your original post, you can just get more 'kids' from the animal shelter. Nothing stopping you from taking the butchers knife to hubbies parts

We have to stick together, us Dutch men

It is better than pee

my husband is Dutch!

LOL evil you

add lavender oil to the vinegar- cat's don't like lavender (people do ) and that'll be fine and neutralize the smell a bit.

cat p p is the worst. good luck!!!!

Couldn't agree more, but the smell, for us, quickly disapears as our sense of smell is not as well developed as that of cats, hence whilst we can't smell it any longer, cats can

To get rid of the cat pee smell, you need something like Nature's Miracle . I haven't seen it here, but you could order from somewhere in the UK. It gets rid of the scent with enzymes, so kitty doesn't go back there to pee and so you don't have to live with lingering pet pee smells!

Sorry, but did the OP solve the peeing problem? I was just hoping for an update... :]

Slow weekend?

haha. I have run out of trash TV to watch.

cruel way: rub their nose where the incident happened, or dont let the cat in.

This is when you wished you had laundry at home .

Hope the problem is resolved or at least identified.

Absolutely ineffective.

(I've seen her cats recently, even went by to feed them sometimes... the additional litter box seems to have helped the situation )

Check for diabetes.....I hope your cats healthy. But if it started suddenly I advice you to make a medical check up.Thats what I had to do when I got a cat from the shelter. It was really thin and I could feel its bones.I left a litter box and food and water and the second day me,my friend and dog(puppy at that time) went to zermat and when we came back .I found peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee literly every corner in the entrance and its smelled so bad bcaz I have carpet. My dog has done it when he was a puppy (trianing him to be house broken) it easly cleaned and the smell went. But the cats was to strong. Since my house is big he had his own qaurters (bathroom) the litter box and food would be there ,so I thought maybe bcaz he moved location he did that. But he kept on doing it and it didnt seem to get fatter at all.It would drink and eat more then me and the dog did . So I took it to the vet and it turned out to have diabetes. I got 3 litter boxes and to change them 2 every day.And gave it shots every day.Even with the 3 litter boxes it didnt seem to stop peeing on my carpet ,maybe it couldnt hold itself till it went back the the corner. I felt really bad for it but I had to keep it in the bathroom with everything and felt bad bcaz of that.THe vet advised me to put it to sleep but I cannot take a decision to end its life if I could help it,I think its God's Decision. So I had to make sure that If I gave it to the shelter that they would not put it to sleep and they said they will not .So I believed returning him was the best because there was a good sized garden and room and other cats for him to enjoy.Or he would be given to a person who cares for sick animals, but he defnetly could not be a house cat. But I was confident with my decision I blv it would was better for the cat then staying in my house .

ps:The 'do not pee here' sprays never worked

even with my dog when he was a puppy

LOL I totally missed all these posts and I thought I had registered for my own thread LOL

Ok here it goes:

The problem is still there, we got a new toilet (a humongous one) and at first it was OK then I left my scarf on the couch and 20 minutes later...you guessed it...PEE!

I think it is the female one, as long as we do not leave clothes around we are OK...I do not think it is diabetes but rather marking their territory otherwise they would pee just anywhere

estupido gatos...
