chance to get permit

hi, everyone

i am looking for some advices here

i got a job in st gallen and now my

employer is trying to apply for the work permit for me.

my situation is that i am non-eu and currently stay in germany, i'm almost finished my phd in germany (bachelor and master also done in germany) and am preparing my defense but that will not be done in short time because my phd supervisor is travelling all the time (hopefully will be finished in 2 mon.) so i cannot provide a phd certificate now for the work permit application, but my employer is asking for that.

i will for sure talk with my employer about that, but also want to get helps here if you know similar cases like mine and what i could do about it

Not much. If it’s a required document then they’ll either have to wait for you to be able to give them one or they’ll go looking for someone else to fill the position.
