My fiancée from a non-EU country and I, Swiss Citizen, are set to be married on 02.12.22. She came to Switzerland in July after applying for a Visa for Marriage Preparation (Visum zur Ehevorbereitung) with BS where we used to live. Everything was sorted in canton BS, she got an L permit that lasts until April 23 and the wedding authorization (we're marrying in canton AG) was sorted in October. Obviously, as soon as we will be married, she plans to apply for a B permit and take up working. Needless to say, we are excited!
Here's the bit thats been worrying me since today - we moved from Basel to Allschwil on 01.11.22 to a bigger apartement for us and our cats, and we've signed off with canton BS. Now that we're signing up with the municipality of Allschwil, the municipality is asking for a civil status document of hers and for her to fill the "change of canton" form for canton BL, and i have not yet responded as i am anxious that us moving before she got her B permit was something we were not supposed to do. We have a civil status document but we do not have an original version, only a photocopy, as the original was provided to BS Civil Registry Office, and we are not sure if she is entitled to a change of cantons with this type of visa/permit.
Any advice or ideas would very appreciated. We are terrified of the idea that she might be shipped back before our wedding just because her permit is no longer valid or similiar.
