Chartered Accountant - Switzerland

Hello All,

My wife has passed her second level of Chartered Accountancy (ICAI) from India. However, as we moved to CH not able to finish the final level aka 3rd level.

The accreditation is equivalent in all common wealth countries (UK included), however I am not aware of the equivalent degree in Switzerland.

Can someone let me know, which office can provide better info. Did any one pursued equivalent of 3rd level and got the equivalent certificate from CH ?

Unless she is actually qualified, meaning that she is a member of the institute in good standing, there is no equivalent certification, it's like being a student at any other institution.

There is no Swiss equivalent that will just allow her to switch and finish. And all Swiss qualifications require exams in an official Swiss language, that does not include English.

Is she not eligible to finish her exams because she doesn’t reside in India? If that is the problem she could explore ACCA instead. She could do exams in English and may (or may not - I don’t know) get credit for her education to date.
