As someone woke this thread up.....just to update on the stream position, I find Reddit now the best place to look for links. There's a dedicated area in there devoted to it with a new thread for every game. They usually find most stuff.
I'm just grateful the best source is a Spurs fan and mostly allows free streams for our games.
Has anyone got any experience with Dazn? It looks like it could be pretty good, but I couldn't see a link to the listings without signing up for the free trial?
Imagine my surprise when I went to the Sports tab on my Swisscom TV menu and found no Premier League Pay-per-view games, but all the other football leagues were available. I've been using this facility for a few years now and all of a sudden its gone. After some research (because Swissom/Teleclub didn't bother to actually tell anyone) they've apparently lost the rights to EPL and La-Liga. Game over.
Anyway I'm looking for new streams or ways to watch. Dazn is on the radar as is the team expat link from earlier - cheers. Any others?
I'm looking for something that I can watch through my NAS which has Serviio running (like Plex). Not sure yet how to get Kodi on the NAS but I'm working on it.
Watched the catch up of a couple of games and they were good quality HD streams but German commentary.
Caught one live game but it was jerky. Also there have some problem at the moment if you try to register - its radar is a little off and keeps thinking I am in the euro zone and refused to accept my Swiss credit card. I just re-registered with a different username and it is fine. Supposedly legit. No golf though...
I think DAZN are a bit overzealous in trying to make sure that they operate in the right jurisdictions so when it detects that you are in Switzerland, you automatically get the German commentary. Maybe at some point we should be able to switch it back to English.
Despite the jerky live feed, the catch up is excellent and better than any other live stream I have tried. Very few offer catch up anyway and they are even more expensive. I rarely watch games live as I have other things to do during the day, so this catch up feature is excellent and for me worth the money.
what about just using Now TV ? If you occasionally want to watch some sport they offer day, week or monthly passes. The problem is like everything on Sky you are subsidising the boring football. One of the great things of living here is you have the choice. For example when the F1 is not on Channel 4 I will watch on Swiss TV or on RTL.
The day pass from Sky is getting closer to what I'd like, but I really just want to on the whole watch Arsenal games (and CL, but that's on SRF anyway).
I'd like a system like the MLB in America, where you can buy individual games or a season pass to all of your team's domestic games. Then I would reconsider DAZN and other less reputable sources.
That said, if it was Sky offering, I would probably still try and circumvent, as Murdoch isn't getting a penny of my hard earned.
I use ntv.mx. They stream Sky Sports Channels in HD and many others, such as BT (and all Sky of course), in standard. The package I have is €14.95 per month. What I like about them is that you have to buy the package each month, rather than it being renewed automatically, so there is no chance of being charged unnecessarily if you decide to drop the sub, or don't expect to use it for a month or more at a time. With all streaming services, the HD feed is prone to the occasional buffering, but the standard channels are usually pretty smooth.
Only package I see from the NTV site is 19.95/month but like @Dack Rambo, curious to see if I can get Primera Liga matches this way. BeIN France shows them but I didn't see them in the lineup of channels
