Christmas Music II

The old thread from 2012 wasn't well populated, except for Ticino Tom's Kinks vid, so here's a new one. I always like to start the season with Orphei Draengar's "Lux Aurumque." For me, it captures the mystery and magic of the season. My favourite carol is Jul Jul Stralande Jul.

Hot off his production line. Love how much fun he has with his music.

In somewhat the same mood, though not choral, a link to a compilation my sister sent me from WGBH Boston several years ago:

Wow. Thanks for that! The first one isn't my cuppa; she sounds strained. But any time Alasdair Fraser is involved, I'm in. I also have several of Windham Hill's Celtic Christmas discs. I'm always on the lookout for new music, specifically avoiding the usual pop stuff. If I hear Little Drummer Boy one more time...

This is new: Kings Return - Carol of the Bells. They are wonderful vocalists.

A lovely Christmas song from the Guardians of the Galaxy (well, some of their friends):

Dianna Krall. I love her voice!

Here's a good one, if you want to mix your Christmas cheer with correct punctuation. I proof/edit an international publication, and my colleague sent me this. EF needs it desperately!

Wham! in Saas-Fee, of all places.

Wishing for one more Christmas with someone? This is for our dear neighbour, whose funeral we just came home from:
