Clinic and health insurnace

Hi All,

Can I ask for your help?

1. I was treated by local clinic a while ago,

2. The doctor at the time prescribed me medicine, which were covered by the Insurance Company

3. However, the insurance company requested for a detailed report from the doctor;

4. I approached the clinic and was informed that the doctor had left the practice.

5. The insurance company didn't cover the costs and I had to bear it from my pocket.

It is not my fault that the doctor left the clinic. The clinic keeps turning down my request and the cost of medicine is significant.

Is there a pay per use legal service that I can use to send them a notice? or any lawyer willing to help

Thank you

John

Which insurance? What is the basis for their refusal? Do you have legal insurance? If not your cheapest option may be to sign up to KTIPP and then call their subscribers free legal advice.

It is Swica. They refused because the presciption by the doctor was not detailed enought for them to approve the claim. thanks will have a look

Even if the doctor has left the practice, your medical records are yours . They clinic should provide your records on request. Whether or not they contain enough detail for your insurance is another story.

There is also an ombudsperson for insurance issues (website in german). This sounds like a perfect thing for them.

I’ve never used them, but it sounds like a perfect resource for your issue. Their services seem to be free.
