It took down the website I use Firefox for.
This is what, the 3rd outage Cloudflare has had recently? Doesn’t sound very secure to me.
Which settings?
Go here: about:preferences#privacy
Then scroll down to DNS over HTTPS
Select the Max Protection radio button
Then under choose provider select Custom in the dropdown menu box.
Then enter the url for Quad9 (see image)

Then it is probably more likely the CDN/proxy issues they had and/or indirectly if the website uses other providers that failed because their systems relied on Cloudflare.
