So after trying several different roasters I keep coming back to Black and Blaze. I love their beans. I also love my little vintage Caravel. It seems to have quite the cult following and for good reason. It makes an excellent espresso, costs a lot less and takes less counter space than many other machines. Plus it's just a awesome design, sort of functional art. We did a head to head against my friends bezzera which costs 2k more and is 4x bigger, my friend now owns a Caravel.
Bumping an old thread but curious if anyone, @Mud, has some suggestions on where to buy an espresso machine en Suisse like Marzocco or Mazzer grinders for best price?
They are in Cham, Zug and have a very cool store where all the machines and grinders are plugged in and you can try them out. They also have an excellent range of coffees.
They have a very cool collection of coffee machines.
Shame, too far to easily stop by but would've loved trying them out. Found the best price of a machine in Lugano and the grinder, sadly, had to purchase outside Suisse (Exceeded my 15% price difference threshold) @MaxiCoffee in France.
I am all about real coffee and trying to find and brew the best coffee possible. I prefer manual grinders and brewing equipment such as Aeropress, French Press, Filter and Mokka Pot. I have just started another thread on the subject and would be interested in discussing and possibly meeting other coffee fans in Switzerland.
Is this thread still alive? I just try it, maybe someone still talks in here.^^
I am not really satisfied with the coffee beans you can buy here in Switzerland. Mostly they have a burnt aftertaste and/or are already oily in the package.
Did anyone make the same experience?
I like good coffee though and especially my girlfriend. She is from Hong Kong. For my birthday she gave me some coffee beans from this shop https://www.kx-oraio.com . I got 4 bags of the black package one. This coffee had a really good smell and taste.
It seems to be roasted in a small family roastery in Switzerland. So the roasting process seems to be more taken care of.
Did anyone order his/ her coffee there too? Any experience?
Any other recommendations? Since this thread got quite a bit of age there are maybe new ones too.
