I also picked up the Guatamalen and the Sicilian - but they aren't opened yet.
If you are in the area they are well worth a visit - whether to buy beans or just a coffee.
Fr 8.60 - but it is a small bottle: 37.5 cl. Price has remain unchanged for at least 5 years.
I've just started drinking it again after a year of abstinence (don't ask)
Is that Aeropress thingy worth it (the effort, not the cost) ?
We make strong coffees in it and to make for 2 cups requires 2 scoops of coffee and then some serious pressure to force the water through - especially if the coffee is too fine. We have found that a "moka" grind is ideal.
The resulting coffee lacks a crema but does do the coffee justice and with high quality coffee works out at around 25-30rpn per cup.
Filters come in packs of 350.
The downsides - you need to tap off the grounds and rinse it after each use; if you want to drink from an espresso cup you'll need to press into a (warmed) jug and then pour into a (warmed) cup - both of which require some additional effort. And finally you do look a bit "special" brewing your own coffee!!
The aeropress came out well in the "Independants" hand coffee press test - and I'd highly recommend one to anyone after an easy to use coffee making kit.
