For wasp sting allergy, I need to have "epi pen" with me at all times. This is a 0.3mg epinephrine (adrenaline) auto-injector syringe that is also used for anaphylaxis from food allergies, etc.
It’s called an Epipen here too and you need a prescription for it.
They cost around 70chf for the 0.3mg adult version.
You’ll be able to get a refillable prescription from your doctor valid for a year so you’ll be able to get a replacement if you use one without having to go back to the doctor for another prescription.
It's covered by your health insurance. The German for the repeat prescription is Dauerrezept.

CHF 69.20 + pharmacy fee + prescription fee. A total of about CHF 100. Which is still expensive but much, much less than in the USA where it can costs USD 300 to 700!
Pharmacist might sell an EpiPen (and other Rx drugs) on discretion basis w/o a prescription when there is a valid reason.
