Cough medicine help!!

Thanks.

The reason for my almost panicky post is because my fever has flared up this evening.

That, and the fact that I took all 3 medicines in very quick succession last evening (Tuesday evening) and tomcat's post earlier in this thread scared me.

Sorry to come back to a very old thread but I'd appreciate your help. I used to live in CH before and once when I had a terrible cold I bought a cough syrup from an apotheke. All I remember is a powdery substance falls inside the liquid, creating vapours when you pop it open first, tastes sweet like sprite (No.I dint have any soda) and the manufacturer was a company in Lugano. Does someone know what chemical combination exhibits this characteristic? It worked like magic for me and I have been having the same kind of cold over again. If someone knows the drug or the compound I'd be really relieved.

Thx a lot.

Solmucol? ..............

Sandgrounder you are perfectly right. I googled for the medicine and the image search confirms it. I browsed through ibsa.ch and it is this company. Do you have a pharma background?

Thank you so much.

No, just a bottle of it in the bathroom cupboard...

HAHAHAHAHAH.EF rules- my laugh has to be atleast 10 characters long
