Go the gym and lift some heavy weights while silently cursing RAV and then dream of that sweet, sweet moment when you can tell RAV to f-ck off because you have a job. If you dont go the gym, punching the mattress also helps (just dont do it after 22 or between 11-13 during the day).
Welcome back porsch
The thing is that RAV is really a generous system, even putting monetary part aside. All that is required from its candidates, is to follow their requests and a bit of discipline on the candidates part. One doesn't really need to be either a top educated individual or a rocket scientist but you need to follow their straightforward rules, which are well explained anyway. The courses and seminars that they offer are designed in such way that the unemployed candidates are kept busy networking, applying for jobs and get more certifications which in the long run are aimed to let them seamlessly return to the job market. Also social and psychological element to it, otherwise one would procrastinate, become self-complacent, perhaps desperate and frustrated with oneself, yet losing self esteem and ability to find a meaningful place in a society.
It's a slim job market situation afterall to be blamed on at the moment and it makes no sense to vent one's anger on the RAV that tries to help, but rather cooperate together.
The way I see it, its my money they are spending on me.
However, it IS a good system, i dont think there is anything equal in the world. You get top money, courses, coaching, etc for 400 days. Its not a bad deal at all.
They are really strict with their rules, so I probably wouldn't even try to discuss it with them unless you really have a good reason why you missed your appointment.

Oftentimes for foreigners it can be advisable to bring along someone to translate and further explain the RAV processes. You might want to search the internet for French/ English translators, if needed. These ad websites might be useful:

Good luck to you!
The good news, however, is that you only have to listen to it once.
