Different types of Parking Tickets

Question for the EF Hive Mind.

Some years back I got a parking ticket when I parked beyond the time from the Kanton Polizei. Recently I got a note from Parkplatzkontrolle because I had parked in the wrong place.

What is the difference between the two?

Can I contest the ParkPlatzkontrolle notice?

Do any of these go into the criminal register? Assume no, but reconfirming just to be sure.

Actually what kind of traffic offences go into the Criminal registers (besides excessive speeding?).

Thank you in advance.

ParkPlatzkontrolle sounds like a private entity enforcing parking on private property. Thus not a fine but just a fee (Umtriebsentschädigung), if not paid it will go to court and you can be fined according to the signed “Richterliche Verbot”.

Criminal Record: Any fine of CHF 5000 or more. Any monetary penalty (income based) Any jail sentence
What can go into your driving record? Any traffic offence which cannot be handled by a simple fine according
to the price list .
Parking on private property with a “Richterliche Verbot” is not a traffic offence.

Thank you. Very helpful as always.
