TLDR: Can I buy dimmer switches in the UK, and will that pass the electrical certification test for my house or does it have to be Swiss market made products, even switches?
Dimmers at Hornbach are just ridiculously expensive, beyond expensive. 100 Francs for a dimmer… It’s nuts.
If I buy my dimmers in the UK at screwfix (4 dimmer switch for £20…) will I be able to pass my electrical certificate using non Swiss certified electrical products? All the cables I am getting in France, and the three prong plugs I went and bought 15 on a discount at Hornbach, so really it’s just the dimmer and switches I am enquiring about. I am about to do some major work myself and after quoting for electrics decided to do it all on my own and then get someone to come and certify.
