(dis)comfort of traditional house vs. wood frame house during a hot summer?

In Switzerland, traditional vs wood frame (ossature bois/Holzrahmenhaus) construction costs more-or-less the same. Despite that, usually a wood frame house sells for less than a traditional one.
I’m interested in experience of living in a wood-frame house, especially during the summer. Does it feel like the whole house was a one big attic apartment during the hot summer months?

I think it’s more down to how well the house is insulated rather than whether it is timber framed or not.

No, not really, except with air conditioning.
The amount of thermal energy stored is referred to as thermal mass, and its effect as thermal inertia. But one thing is knowing that this happens, and the other if this practically matters in the Swiss climate.
