I prefer living in ground floor apartments.
- no neighbors down there complaining that you dropped something on the floor, walking in your apartment in noisy shoes etc
- no time wasted to enter and leave your home (particularly when you have to use the lift)
- I feel more secure as it's easy to leave the building in case of an emergency, I guess I'm a caveman
* the caveat, I can't ever imagine living in a ground apartment having a public pavement just next to my windows where at any moment someone can just peek into your apartment because the window is so close and on the level of the eyes
Which exactly is the reason why I will never live on ground floor again should I move out of here. I'll go straight back to top floor, as I always did unless we occupied the entire house.
Btw. complaining is absolutely useless. If you got a tramp living above you, that's what it is. And I've had enough changes in the flat above to know that it is absolutely possible for them to live happily without driving me bonkers with noises.
At the moment I'm suffering big time. She keeps babbling about buying something of their own and I keep hoping that they will.
