It gets quite warm - so much so, that moisture that runs down the inside back of the fridge, is funnelled out the back to collect above the compressor to evaporate into the atmosphere.
Thanks a ton! Might take you up on that!
As best I could tell using a mirror and flashlight, the cabinet is backless except the bottom part where the bottom drawer is. All I saw was coils as I peeked. Keep in mind this setup is rather tall and I am rather short, so was standing on the countertops to do the peeking. Total pain.
That's all for today. Too much going on to mess with it further. Thanks a bunch for the helpful tips. EF is fantastic!
Why do I say this?
Your fridge is Swiss Norm. That means 55cm wide and 56cm deep, plus 2cm for the door.
The total depth of your kitchen cabinet is 60cm, so with my calculation you have less than 2cm behind your fridge.
Have you looked in the cabinet above the fridge, very often in Swiss Norm kitchens the socket for the fridge, is above the fridge and behind the screwed backwall.
Hope you understand this, if not let me know.

You say your husband is away.....!!!
The cat was ok, but i still think her heart is beating a bit too fast!!
Sure, but my luck they will find the thing during the handover inspection and then I'll have to pay 3,000 CHFs.
Oooh hunky firemen. That would be fun. But then the gossip in the neighborhood...
Looks like surgery it will be, but probably not until the weekend.
Although the fridge might be a tad on the heavy side, nothing like a washing machine for weight.
Either way would not attempt alone, better to have 2 people, if nothing else to notice where all the screws and parts are to return. We usually use either plastic pots or regular drinking glass or mugs to keep screws etc together.
We had one of those small standard fridge and took it out & put in storage, as we prefer to use that space for something else. We got a separate Tall fridge/Freezer that stands alone.
all good wishes
