ebookers.ch & Turkish Airlines

Agree with Sauce. At that price, I wouldn't even waste any more time. GAL, seats on SQ flights sell fast, while its prices appreciate faster. My flight ticket to bali was increased by CHF 150, by the lapse of a day.

But after reading Trova's plug, I'm highly recommending GAL to fly Turkish.

If you do fly with Turkish, don't forget to share with us your adventure.

Yup sure thing I will share my experience with Turkish Airlines if I decide to go for them.

This member has a commercial service which may be of interest. Perhaps make contact and see what can be done.

Paying for flights yourself is painful and the process of finding the cheapest is almost as bad.

Hey ITF

These are my personal views I have exprienced during my flights... GAL has requested from us some information about this issue, We are saying our personal knowledges to help him...That is all I m saying!...What is the strangeness in this situation?!..

I have used both ebookers.ch and Turkish Airlines number of times. They both are very reliable. I will always recommend them personally. Their service is same as any other airlines like BA, Air France, Delta etc. In fact i prefer Turkish Airlines sometimes as it not very busy on long routes so i can get empty seats always.

Turkish Airlines are fine, but I find the air conditioning to be a tad too cold for my liking:

(although, as you can see, this problem can be partially solved by the correct choice of travel companion)

Have used both, and would thoroughly recommend them.

GetALife,

I am an independant travel agent, and have extensive experience with long-haul carrier to Asian, including Singapore Airlines. We have prices for airlines, hotels and car rental that are very competitive with the typical web booking tools (Ebookers, Expedia or airline websites), but provide a superior service.

If you send me a private mail with you date (and possible flexibility), as well as you name (as in the passport), I can look at the best option and put a tentative booking with up to 7 days to confirm and decline.

I am happy to do this without any commitment on your side. If you like and is convinced by our services, you take it, otherwise just leave it.

Kind regards,

LittleBuz

I have also used Air France on many ocassions for transatlantic flights and always had good experiences with them, one time I even got upgraded from coach to business, With regards Paris CDG (if you have to stop there), well that's a different animal: complicated and disperse airport, and the personnel seem in general far from being happy with their jobs.

KLM also flies to Singapore and I've seen lots of offers from their side. Schiphol is a great airport to stopover as well

This link will show you what facilities are available on board the Jet Airways B777 that Turkish operate on the Singapore route.

In economy there are personal TV screens.

My worst flight experience was with Singapore airlines. They had double-booked us on a return Singapore- Zurich flight even though we had confirmed seats. I insisted that they put us on the flight. They were extremely rude, so I started videoing them, then they threatened to have me arrested.

They said that we were creating a disturbance and so said we could get on the flight there would be seats but the gate was closing we had to run, so we ran to the gate. The flight was full, there were people sitting in our seats, the flight attendants didn't know what to do. They started taxiing down the runway with us standing, then they got us to sit in cabin crew seats for take-off until they could find us seats.

I will never fly Singapore airlines again.

Sorry to learn about your bad experience but I guess nobody or no organisation is ever perfect. I am in no way affliated to Singapore Airlines (except for the fact that I am Singaporean) and I have flew at least 10 times with them facing no hiccups whatsoever. It's just a case of being at the wrong place at the wrong time sometimes. Chill ...

I would highly recommend ebookers and have used them several times, I can't say the same for Turkish Airways. I flew with them to Dubai back in October and at the stopover in Istanbul, me and my daughter had terrible tummy aches from meal served inflight.. we nearly missed the connecting flight! But you could put that down to us having really sensitive tummies!

On the return part of the journey, Dubai to Zurich, the crew were rude and refused to heat milk for my toddler and checked in our pushchiar on the airpline without a tag. When we got to the other end, not only was our pushchair missing, our entire luggage failed to make it to Zurich. When it eventually arrived on the next flight, it was in a right state. THey had left my carton to soak on the runway and it was all coming apart with things broken inside.

YOu will see me seeking advice on the forum on a related matter of a broken pushchair! The airline is extremely unhelpful. I don't see myself travelling with them anytime soon.

On the other hand, we have flown Singapore Airways from Zurich to Singapore and I have to say its the best airline I have travelled with (and I have travelled a few!). The crew make sure you vry comfortable and snacks were provided every hour on the long journey...
