English Skiing Success

So all those years after bringing skiing to the Alps we finally won a race.

Congratulations Dave Ryding.

So impressive - learnt on plastic brushes then indoor slopes (as my kids did and so many of my students, from Swadlincote to Snowdome) - incredible. What grit and determination BRAVO.

Not much of a crowd.

Unlike the Swiss, the Austrians aren't allowing spectators, due covid!

Well done Dave, well deserved!!

I'm sure he ain't bothered!

What an amazing success.

If you saw his entourage at the end they were well chuffed. A lifetime’s goal fulfilled.

Konrad Bartelski (sp?) and the Bell brothers got so close, but this is literally crossing the line and in Kitzbühel as well.

Massive achievement.

Not exactly. The first British were taught to ski by Swiss monks and German and Austrian skiers. I except that they had a role in popularising it.

Were all the other competitors off sick with covid? ;-)

Hmm NO!

You should watch the race. Absolutely brilliant wow

Not even worth responding to that, I thought!
