Hello everyone, I need to rent a car on April 15 and since it is a holiday, the only service available is Click&Go from Enterprise. I need the car to go to Lyon, so I would have to cross the border. I called Enterprise to ask if this was possible with cars rented through Click&Go but surprisingly they can't give me an answer. I would like to know if any of you have crossed the border with a Click&Go car without any problem.
Surely all the major car rental agencies at the airports would let you hire on a holiday. Best bet it to take the train to GE airport, rent on the French side of the airport, then you'll have a car with French plates. Edited to add, I just went to europcar.fr and chose geneva airport ferney voltaire (airport french side) for 15 April and got many possibilities, no problem.
Depending on your needs for a car, there is also the possibility to take the French trains, and as I recall, pre-pandemic, there were direct busses from GE to Lyon as well.
