Euro 4 diesel in Zurich

Hello everyone,

I am thinking about bringing my euro4 diesel in Switzerland.

I heard that any diesel older than euro6 will be banned.

Do you know where i could find some details about it?

Will they be banned in the city center , or you will have to pay more taxes in order to have it in Switzerland (something that will make me sell it in one year)?

Thanks for your time

There are currently no restrictions in Switzerland as there are in Germany. But you never know, there will be laws in Switzerland for lower emission rates. Therefore it could be, that you are allowed to drive your car only for certain years.

No far, nothing has happened.

What car is it exactly, and when was it built?

There's not such a big problem with exhaust-gases in big Swiss cities as there is with some German cities.

So, I'm not sure if there'll ever by any kind of legislation.
