I hope you could help. We are fairly new to Switzerland and need to send original documents back to the UK (unfortunately soft copies aren't accepted).
What would be the recommendations for sending documents back the fastest?
The problem with courier pigeon is, that they fly back to the home base. Means you would need a first a London based pigeon which you might have to order first on the fastest way possible and get delivered on the fastest way possible. Catch-22. Also, while a swallow (not sure if European or African) might carry a coconut, I think a pigeon is too heavy even for two swallows. An d in the end, while there are protocols for reliable data transfer over courier pigeons and other avian carriers (See RFC1149, RFC 2549, and RFC 6214) there is still the risk of data loss during transport and it is certainly not the fastest method.
Now, I once visited London. In London Science Museum I saw a ingenious German invention to deliver various payloads on the fasted way to London even from far away and remote places.
But keep in min, the inventor of the above device allegedly said: "Once the rockets are up, who cares where they come down? That's not my department, " says Wernher von Braun. So delivery might not be that accurate.
